VENTRICULAR DYSPHONIA

Definition:

* A musculoskeletal tension disorder in which the false cords, the ventricular bands,
    adduct together over the true cords below.

Origin:

* This voice disorder derives its name from the fact that voice is produced by vibration
    of the false or ventricular folds rather than the true folds.

Etiology:

* Etiology is unknown.

Symptoms:

1. Harsh
2. Hoarse
3. Low-pitch
4. Monotone
5. Diplophonic
6. Phonation during strangulation
